What happened
Google shipped a desktop Gemini app for Windows on Sept 10, 2026. A keyboard shortcut (Alt + Space) brings Gemini up over whatever the user is doing. The app includes a workspace where users can hand multi-step tasks to the Gemini Spark agent and pull in Gmail and Drive files, plus image and video generation.
