What happened
Two and a half weeks after DevDay, OpenAI began rolling out Slides, the presentation part of ChatGPT’s Space workspace. ChatGPT builds a deck from a chat or files; people and ChatGPT then edit it together, and it can be exported to the Office and Google formats. Our sources are summaries of OpenAI’s release notes; we could not open the notes or the feature page ourselves, hence confidence medium.
Why it matters
With Pages and Slides, ChatGPT now covers documents and presentations natively, competing with Microsoft 365 Copilot, Google Workspace with Gemini and Anthropic’s Claude docs and slides tools (Sept 2026).
