Anyone who thought the GPT-6 Astra release was all there was to it is sorely mistaken.
Anthropic appears to be preparing to respond to OpenAI with a major release. Fable 5.2, or whatever it ends up being called, is expected very soon.
At the same time, it's important to remember that OpenAI's DevDay is just around the corner, and as recently explained in the Axios article, Sam Altman stated that they will be releasing even more capable models very soon.
GPT-Astra was just the beginning. And amidst all the excitement, we shouldn't forget that Grok 4.7 is also being released next week.
