What happened
Amazon, which bought the Bee wearable startup, launched two redesigned recorders. Both summarize what the wearer hears and connect to Alexa+ and Amazon shopping through a paid plan. The Verge noted a day earlier that the Bee assistant can now also help users buy things.
Why it matters
Big tech is moving into ambient, always-listening AI hardware. That raises consent questions for the people being recorded, which Amazon addresses with indicator lights and call prompts.
