$META CEO: Muse Wonder represents Meta’s attempt to return to the frontier after Llama 4 disappointed internally.

“Quite famously, we were not happy with the trajectory that we were on with Llama 4. We kind of rebuilt the whole team. I mean, that’s been this kinda crazy thing over the last year and a half that we should probably spend a bunch of time on. Because we’ve had some war stories. But the team basically had to go build up different tiers of models to kinda get to this one. And now that we are kind of at the frontier, everything that we do going forward will just kind of be pushing the frontier, as opposed to there’s a lot of background work that we needed to do before that.”

Quoting @collision: Cheeky Pint is back! Mark Zuckerberg @finkd and Alexandr Wang @alexandr_wang came to the pub to discuss their new frontier model, Muse Wonder.
